Enigma at Palazzo Versace Dubai

This week’s #Foodiegram is something of a #ThrowbackThursday – as we return to Palazzo Versace Dubai, our popular host venue for #Invoyage16. In quite the culinary coup, the hotel has bagged Michelin-starred Mansour Memarian as its new executive chef.

The Iranian culinary king with German origins boasts 21 years experience with stints at luxury boltholes including the nearby Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, as well as the further flung Chedi Andermatt in Switzerland. Memarian also worked at the Burj Al Arab’s signature restaurant, Al Mahara, as Chef de Cuisine.

In his new role, he will oversee the property’s six restaurants and two bars, as well as the catering services.

Reserve a table at the elegant Enigma restaurant, which promises to deliver ‘Turkish culinary tales of mystery and delight’ and certainly doesn’t disappoint. Start with the mandarin marinated shrimps, served with lemon cream and green apple sorbet and then enjoy the sumptuous Wagyu beef Izmir kofta with confit tomatoes, traditional Turkish rice and tomato sauce. If you can fit it in, the sour cherry biscuits with almond ice cream come highly recommended.
