The luxury hotel group, Anantara, has chosen the vibrant resort of Vilamoura in the Portuguese Algarve for its European debut and foodies eager to sample the local flavours fused with the country’s spice heritage will be delighted with the property’s Dining by Design concept.

These bespoke gourmet experiences promise the ultimate in privacy and gastronomy. With a personal chef dedicated to each event, guests can select a private dining retreat for a VIP gathering or romantic celebration with backdrops including alfresco decks to enjoy a welcome sundowner before enjoying a spectacular dinner chosen from the connoisseur barbecue menu.

The in-house Wine Guru will personally select the perfect vintages from the hotel’s well-stocked cellar to accompany the Algarve ingredients.

Wine connoisseurs should also check out Emo Restaurant, the hotel’s wine oriented restaurant, which has gained a regional following for its sumptuous pairing menus, curated by the Executive Chef and Wine Guru. Portugal’s heritage of spice discovery is clearly evident in the menu, while the wine list is drawn from more than 350 expertly selected wines, ensuring the most discerning palate is sated.
