#Foodiegram from… Stockholm’s Frantzén 

Chef Bjorn Frantzén’s eponymous restaurant reopened at a new site within a 17th century townhouse, in the Swedish capital in September 2017, after a previous stint near Gamla Stan, where the restaurant held two Michelin stars since 2010, before closing in 2016.

Offering countertop, Japanese-Nordic dining to a bijou crowd of just 23 diners per service, the three-storey eatery is based in a 19th century building in Stockholm’s downtown district and aims to deliver an extraordinary food experience. The new venue was designed to afford guests a view of the open kitchen, where the tasting menu is prepared.

And according to the Michelin Guide, the restaurant more than matches this aim. In February 2018, Frantzen became Sweden’s first triple-Michelin starred restaurant and the only new restaurant to be awarded Michelin’s top honour this year.

Björn Frantzén has created a unique vision of Nordic cuisine, combining sublime ingredients with astounding culinary techniques, plus the flavours of regional yet modern Sweden. Beverage pairing, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, is available to complement the flavours of the meal.
