Design Hotels has announced its first Miami member, with Little Havana Miami, the first property by fledgling hospitality disruptor, Life House.
These new properties describe themselves as ‘immersive boutique hotels’, designed to bring together guests in a destination with locals themselves. Inside the historic 1920s mansion, the local vibe continues, with paintings and photography by local artists adorning the walls.
Set in Miami’s Cuban heart, the property boasts 33 rooms with interiors styled in calming shades of guava pink and vibrant jade while the monochrome checked flooring is classic Havana cool. Le Labo bathroom amenities, Marshall speakers and rainfall showers add to the luxe appeal of each room.
The library is the perfect place to curl up with a book or sit with a drink and take in the surrounds, while the three-story atrium gallery underlines the property’s artistic creds. Other spaces include the secret garden-style courtyard, Cuban café and bar and rooftop food forest, while a terrace will be added this spring.
