Kempinski to debut world’s ‘first Floating Sea Palace Resort’

Dubai has always been a destination of firsts, and now the emirate will be the first to get a floating palace hotel that can move to different locations courtesy of luxury brand Kempinski.

Kempinski Floating Palace will feature a main building with 156 rooms and suites, which will be surrounded by 12 luxury floating villas.

The hotel will be anchored next to one of the most exclusive stretches of beach in Dubai on Jumeirah Beach Road, but there will be the possibility to sail to other anchorages.

Guests will be transported to the property by speed boat or arrive directly with their own boats. There will also be a connected floating helipad next to an impressive yacht parking deck for up to 16 yachts.

The main building of this floating palace, structured in four parts, is connected in the middle by a glass pyramid.

Facilities will include exclusive gourmet restaurants, bars, spa, pools to boutiques, banquet areas and the possibility for even larger yachts to sail in and out at the centre of the hotel.

The 12 luxury villas, connected by pontoons, will feature a roof terrace and infinity pool, crew and staff rooms as well as indoor and outdoor living rooms, all the technical features of a smart home, and will benefit from all the services offered at the hotel.

Cruising at a maximum speed of 6 nautical miles, the villas are equipped with solar panels and are designed to be environmentally friendly.

The property is scheduled to open in 2023.
