All together now – the Circle of Life! The clever folk at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Kenya have unveiled a new ‘Return of the King of the Jungle’ safari package to tie in with the new Lion King movie.
This cinematic safari itinerary pays tribute to both the old and new versions of the film, and takes intrepid travellers to three iconic properties.
During a stay at the striking Fairmont The Norfolk, by Nairobi National Park, guests can have a chance to spot antelopes, hyenas and giraffe in the grass plains and lions, leopards and rhinos in the bush.
This is followed by a stay at the inspiring Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, home to an animal orphanage and The Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy.
The incredible centre breeds the endangered Mount Kenya antelope, the bongo and the rare white zebra. Pygmy hippos, leopards and cheetahs can also be spotted in the area.
The final stop is in the vibrant Masai Mara region, where the tented camp resort Fairmont Mara Safari Club affords an incredible vista across the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation area and the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
This is the place of some incredible wildlife scenes, from herds of zebra and wildebeest crossing the Mara River from Serengeti National Park during the annual migration season, through to elephants and buffalos at watering holes, and of course, a chance to spot Pumba the warthog and pals.
