Our final September #foodiegram comes from inVOYAGE 2017 host venue, Sheraton Porto Hotel, where guests are in for a treat next week with the finest Portuguese gastronomy inspired by the soul of the Mediterranean.
It’s restaurant Porto Novo offers a mixture of tradition and innovation, with dishes ranging from pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven to fish and shellfish of the day and international specialties served in a contemporary yet comfortable backdrop of marble, wood, steel, and glass.
Entrées include extravagant sounding dishes such as Sea Textures – lacquered scallop sautéed in cocoa butter, shrimp wrapped in kadaif pastry with sea bass tartar, celery purée, asparagus and micro greens, and Foie Gras and Apricot Terrine, with granola crumble, green apple sorbet Port wine and micro greens.
The mains menu – split by From the Atlantic and From the Land – sounds equally mouthwatering, while the dessert menu features delectable dishes such as Portuguese Sweets Trio – Almond crisp and egg cream, Lemon verbana brullê and Cheese curd quenelle.
If wine’s your thing, then dining in the hotel’s wine cellar is a must, where groups can enjoy with dishes paired with fine local and international wines.
