InVOYAGE: Sounds incredible! And how does the hotel cater to both seasoned golfers and those new to the sport?
Victoria: The most experienced golfers can enjoy the challenge of playing on the Stadium Course, a course that has hosted 3 Spanish Opens and DP World Tour championships. They can also monitor and improve their game and position using the Gears technology available in the Golf Hub. For amateur golfers looking to improve their play, we offer private lessons with our Pros out on the Tour Course – a high-level but more affordable option than the Stadium Course.
inVOYAGE: Golf retreats are becoming increasingly popular for corporate events. In your opinion, why is Hotel Camiral an ideal destination for corporate golf retreats?
Victoria: We are located in an ideal natural environment that helps you disconnect from the outside world and focus on your game. Two of our courses are among the 10 best courses in Europe according to Golf Digest magazine, and aside from that it’s a chance to enjoy our Mediterranean surroundings!
After the game, our team of therapists will design a special program for each client according to their needs (whether that’s Whole-Body Cryotherapy, Photobiomodulation or a combination of the two). We also have a Pilates studio equipped with the latest generation machines. Pilates gives golfers an edge mentally and physically. The practice reduces injuries, speeds recovery time, improves range of motion, promotes efficient breathing techniques, and develops a mind-body connection.
Alongside all of this, we add activities to our incentive programmes that can be customised for groups or individually, such as mindfulness sessions, golf clinics, bike tours, and many others. Not to mention the 5-star facilities and venues we have within the Hotel Camiral to meet or hold corporate events.

Victoria: All of our facilities, whether that’s inside the Hotel or in our Wellness centre, share one thing in common: their openness to the outside. Victoria: Yes, we prepare tailored golf packages for all of our corporate groups and incentive events. These packages can be personalised depending on the needs of each group and can include golf rounds in both of our golf courses, golf tournaments and golf clinics as well as golf classes with our golf pros.

Victoria: Our events department are able to accommodate all of your guests needs including handicaps and additional group experiences. Together they’ll work with you to create varied and immersive group experiences depending on the level of each person and the objective of your brief.
inVOYAGE: I know you touched on this briefly earlier, but could you tell us more about the non-golfing amenities that are available to guests for planners looking to complement their corporate programme?
Victoria: From group wellness activities like yoga classes and mindfulness sessions to bike tours, buggy circuits, tennis tournaments, forest ziplines and RAD multichallenges there are plenty of opportunities for participants to develop different competencies and teamwork skills.
We can also arrange gastronomy activities such as wine tasting and vineyard walks, Molecular appetizers, a workshop of spherified appetizers or our much-loved Girona Food Tour, which allows you to enjoy and discover local food, wine and the history behind the Catalan Mediterranean culture.
inVOYAGE: How does the hotel cater to the specific needs of event professionals, ensuring a seamless planning and execution process?
Victoria: The most important thing for us is to understand the needs of each client, starting with the first point of call. That way we can truly understand the clients’ needs and send over a proposal that is as personalised and detailed as possible.
From the sales and events team, we then follow up with the client and invite them to come to our property if they haven’t been here before so that they can experience first-hand the quality of our service and product. From beginning to end, the client is advised and accompanied by a person from the Events team to guide them and offer them the best of our services.

For all lovers of gastronomy, Girona is privileged enough to have 17 Michelin stars across 12 different restaurants, meaning we can ensure the very best culinary experiences for our guests.
