Adventures on the Wild Atlantic Way

Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way is a sensational journey of soaring cliffs and buzzing towns and cities, of hidden beaches and epic bays, making it the ideal backdrop for unforgettable incentive experiences. inVOYAGE partner Meet in Ireland’s ‘Adventures on the Wild Atlantic Way’ is a sample small-group incentive itinerary offering three days of escapism in County Kerry featuring luxury accommodation, local cuisine and exciting outdoor activities in one of the most picturesque destinations in the world…

Day One
Land in Kerry Airport in the early afternoon and transfer to the five-star Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney. After a rendezvous in a boat house on a nearby lake, travel to Ross Castle, with breath-taking views of the mountains, lakes and wildlife from their boats along the way. After wandering through the castle ruins, travel via horse and carriage to Muckross House in Killarney National Park and enjoy lunch in the gardens.

An afternoon of activities at the traditional farms in Muckross will follow — with a chance for everyone to try some Gaelic (Irish) games and céilí dancing. After working up an appetite outside, learn how to churn your own butter and bake scones with the bean an tí (woman of the house) inside the old-school farmhouses.

Early in the evening, dine at the hotel before departing for a session of late night star-gazing in the beautiful Dark Sky Reserve. After a magical evening amongst the stars, Irish coffees will await at Europe Hotel & Resort.

Day Two
After breakfast overlooking the lakes, transfer to the stunning Gap of Dunloe and mount bikes for a guided tour of the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain. With appetites whetted, gather for a delicious BBQ and artisan food experience in Lord Brandon’s Cottage.

After lunch, there’s a chance to relax with a therapeutic pottery-making session with local craftspeople. From vases to jugs, delegates will mould their choice of pieces, which will then be fired and glazed by the experts, ready for a presentation to the group on the last day.

From Lord Brandon’s cottage, transfer by helicopter to the famous Skellig Michael island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and featured in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to discover the history of the 6th century monks who painstakingly carved out each of the 600 steps to the top, in order to build their church as close as possible to heaven.

Enjoy a private dining experience in the trendy atmosphere of the Cellar One Restaurant of the Ross Hotel in Killarney. A private cocktail masterclass will follow in the Pink Lounge and those who wish to carry on, can embrace the vibrant nightlife of Killarney town.

Day 3
The final day is dedicated to relaxing and re-energising with a choice of spa treatments in the Europe Hotel & Resort and lunch in The Spa Café, overlooking the lake and gardens. Finally, transfer back to Kerry Airport — revitalised, rewarded and refreshed.
