Making its Spanish debut, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has opened its first property in the destination, set on the Southern coast in the hills above Marbella and Puerto Banus.

The luxurious Anantara Villa Padierna Palace features 132 rooms, suites and pool villas, surrounded by scented gardens, an outdoor pool and three golf courses.

The elegant rooms and suites have every contemporary comfort on offer while the one and two bedroom villas boast private pools and butler service.

Art enthusiasts will be thrilled with the works on display – more than 1,200 paintings, sculptures and artefacts are displayed across the grounds and gardens.

Gastronomes too will delight in this new retreat, which features a number of high-end dining options. The 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant has opened and will be complemented by O by Paco Roncero, the eponymous restaurant by the Spanish two-Michelin starred chef.

For a relaxed yet opulent moment, the Club de Mar Beach Club serves Champagne and oysters while resident DJs set the tone for the evening ahead.

Inspired by the Roman Baths, the Anantara Spa spa offers ten specialised treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy circuit with three dedicated rooms, a Hammam, aromatherapy steam rooms and relaxation areas.
