Experience this: Winter at Belmond Russia

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

This winter, the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe will embrace the spirit of Russian wintertime with a range of experiences to delight visitors to St Petersburg.

The newly curated three-night escape aims to deliver all the magical winter adventures that the city can offer plus a stay in one of its most opulent properties.

Thrill seekers can take to the ice and enjoy the hotel’s new partnership with the former Olympic Russian figure-skating coach, with bespoke sessions on learning to glide across the rink.

Those preferring to handle the ice rather than glide across it can opt for the an ice-carving lesson with a master sculptor. In honour of the city’s annual ice sculpture festival, classes will be held using ice blocks sourced from one of the city’s lakes and the sculptor will share tips and tricks on the tradition of turning out ornate statues.

Finally, guests can step aboard a Troika sleigh ride through the city’s snowy boulevards for a magical trip to either The Catherine Palace or the renowned Fabergé Museum, for a private tour.

Back at the hotel, what could be a finer end to the adventure than a vodka and caviar pairing masterclass with the vodka sommelier and caviar master, Alexander Dmitriev himself?
