Borgo Egnazia extends wellness experience with ‘Happiness at Home’ concept

Luxury Italian retreat Borgo Egnazia has refreshed its happiness break to start at home before arrival in Puglia.

Although Borgo Egnazia has reopened to guests, its popular Happiness Break has been updated to begin at home, with a new set of pre-arrival digital consultations and classes.

Borgo Egnazia’s therapists have created a new phase to their successful wellness journey which aims to create balance and increased happiness through three principles: community and social interaction, a balanced healthy diet and physical activity.

Happiness at Home’ is a new phase designed for each guest which brings workshops and live sessions to home prior to guests’ arrival in Puglia. Following the completion of a ‘Pro Happiness Questionnaire’ and a consultation with Aromatherapy expert and psychologist Luca Fontana, guests will be advised on a course of video sessions tailored to meet their needs, including speaking with food technologists, meditation and yoga, functional training and cookery classes.

The aim of this addition is to ensure that guests begin to make changes at home to increase their happiness so that on completion of the programme in Italy, they will benefit further on their return.

The second phase at Borgo Egnazia includes instruction on diet and physical activity as well as time with the ‘Maestro della Risata,’ the laughter teacher and activities around Apulian culture.

The combined digital and onsite experience is something that could also work well for small incentive groups or corporate groups looking for a wellness break.

Located in the heart of Puglia, built in the style of a traditional village, complete with piazza, ‘apartments’ and casetta, Borgo Egnazia is immersed among ancient olive groves and steps away from the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic sea.

The hotel boasts facilities including La Fonte beach club, San Domenico Golf club with its 18-hole golf course, a cooking school, two swimming pools, six restaurants, and 10 fully functional meeting rooms, with space for 10-300 people.
