Checking in…Form Hotel Dubai

The world’s tallest, the world’s goldest, the world’s most underwater…think of a superlative, a one-off, a world record and you can bet your last gold medallion that Dubai already boasts it. Yet that hasn’t stopped luxury brand’s eyeing up the emirate in a bid to win over new fans in the region, and Design Hotels is set to do exactly that with its recent opening, Form Hotel Dubai.

Launched in spring 2018, the 15-storey building designed by the Paris-based Architecture Studio, springs up against the Dubai skyline with a stark white façade. Inside, the 136 guest rooms and public spaces are stylish and sleek and for Dubai, a destination where more is more, they are strikingly minimalist.

Set just minutes away Dubai’s first contemporary art museum, the Jameel Arts Centre, this is a hotel for art enthusiasts.

After dosing up on culture, relax in the rooftop pool and admire views of the neighbouring Al Jadaf boatyards, before perusing each of the three food and beverage outlets. For a hearty meal, take a table at roots kitchen by parlour where the gulf prawns with red curry, edamame and black rice must not be missed.

Meanwhile, at Salũs Housetop, the hottest playlists will form the soundtrack to sunset as you recline with a cold-pressed fresh juice or vitality shot and nibble on moon rolls, kale chips, kelp noodles or any other off-the-moment foods to make your Insta followers faint with jealousy.
