Five of the best incentive experiences in Mykonos

The idyllic isle of Mykonos provides the perfect backdrop for inspiring incentives, and there’s no better partner to help create and deliver a memorable programme than Horizon DMC. Here, the team at Horizon, our DMC partner for inMykonos 2021, share five of their favourite experiences for groups….

Explore the Hidden Gems of Mykonos by 4x4

See the hidden corners of the island of Mykonos, many of them inaccessible unless by jeep. Enjoy breath-taking views, rural areas, beautiful beaches and the unique feeling of driving in a 4X4 vehicle.

Together with our knowledgeable guide who brings his good sense of humour and local experience, you will pick up your Jimny jeep and after a short briefing, your discovery of Mykonos will begin. Drive to the magnificent bay of Kalo Livadi, famous for its crystal-clear waters and golden sands, before heading to the charming an authentic fishing village of Kalafatis Bay. During your short stop, find out what the locals call this spot with intriguing stories based on Greek myth.

Leave behind the beaches of the south and following our guide, discover an off-road trail surrounded by stunning scenery, stop off at a beautiful beach, and visit the abandoned lighthouse standing at the edge of the hill facing three other Cycladic islands.

Private Cruise by Chartered boat to Delos

A short boat trip away from Mykonos, Delos was a sacred island in ancient times, and according to mythology was the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis. This uninhabited islet of the Aegean, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is now one of the most important archaeological sites in the eastern Mediterranean Sea and well worth a visit.

The tour visits to the remains of the Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Artemis, the residential areas, private houses, the Theatre and a walk down the celebrated Lion Street.

In the Museum guests will have the chance to admire Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman sculptures, impressive mosaics, pottery from all periods as well as items of everyday use.

Beach Hopping with a Fleet of Rib Boats

On this activity, groups will be split in 6-7 rib boats, cruising all together along the island’s beautiful South Beach route, where highlights include the famous Psarou beach and Super Paradise.

The fast rib boats are an enjoyable way to discover the sandy treasures of Mykonos. During the day, the rib boats can stop on the different beaches of Mykonos, where we can reserve sun beds and umbrellas, have drinks and party in the beach bars or indulge in water sports.

They can also stop in remote little bays reachable only by boats where guests can enjoy swimming and snorkelling.  Speed contests between the ribs can be also organised during cruising. Coolers with water, soft drinks and snacks will be available on each boat.

Sunset Cocktails at Little Venice

Little Venice is located a stone’s throw away from the city centre and is the most fascinating and picturesque place in Mykonos Town. In this part of the city, the brightly coloured houses are built directly on the water and give, together with the light of the sunset, and the blue of the sea, a particular golden light to the area.

The best time to enjoy Little Venice is at sunset, when the sun kisses the sea. This is the place to see and be seen for pre-dinner drinks while the sun sets over the beautiful Aegean sea. There are a host of hip spots for cocktails that we can recommend and book for groups.
