Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel

Nothing says the French Riviera quite like the Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel and after a thrilling two-year and multi-million Euro re-development it’s a new look for the iconic property as they debut their latest French interior designs, courtesy of Tristan Auer. A beautiful blend of old-world charm and cutting-edge design, guests can now enjoy the addition of 37 new residences with two extended wings, a new landscaped garden which replaces the former parking lot with some 22,000 plants and flowers as well as the city’s largest hotel infinity pool. A true outdoor sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Cannes, it’s the perfect addition to their already growing reputation as one of the leading luxury hotels in the region.

Head over to the Business area and you’ll find a subterranean conference space spanning 1,800 square meters, featuring the largest pillarless event room in Cannes as well as five additional meeting rooms, ideal for any event from intimate board meetings to lavish gala dinners. With a legacy dating back to its opening in 1913, the Carlton Cannes epitomises adaptability and savoir-faire in event hosting.

Looking to take an incentive group there? Roll up your sleeves and throw yourself into a whole host of immersive workshops from bespoke sports lessons with professional coaches to rejuvenating massages at le C Club Fitness & Spa. Otherwise, why not connect with the local surroundings with an afternoon spent gardening with the hotel’s very own floral designer or head into the city for Vallauris’s pottery studios and Biot’s glassblowing workshops.

From its storied history as a haven for legendary movie stars during the Cannes Film Festival to its newfound status as a beacon of contemporary glamour, the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel has done well to maintain its old-world glamour whilst catering to a new age of the modern business traveller. A region that conjures up images of leisurely bike rides across the sun-kissed Croisette to afternoons in vintage cars and local markets, it’s the perfect hub for incentive trips looking for charm and sophistication.

The hotel's dining options have also been revamped, with the introduction of new restaurants and bars that showcase the best of French and international cuisine. Whether enjoying a leisurely meal at the Riviera restaurant or sipping cocktails at Bar '58, you’re sure to be treated to a culinary experience that is as exquisite as it is memorable.

As the Carlton Cannes reopens its doors to the world, it’s certainly fair to say they’ve reaffirmed their status as one of the most iconic hotels in the region. With its timeless elegance, unparalleled luxury, and unmatched hospitality, the Carlton Cannes continues to set the standard for luxury hospitality on the French Riviera and beyond.

InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace

After 2 years under the hammer, InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace returns more glamorous than ever after a €45 million makeover and extensive restoration project. From its origins as a residence for ambassadors and the visiting elite, IHG certainly had their work cut out for them in terms of preservation and historical heritage.

Balancing Heritage and Modernity

“The grand columns and magnificent staircase were elements we knew we had to respect, renew and preserve,” says Luca de Stefano, General Manager of the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace. “Historic hotel renovation projects, especially those in architecturally significant buildings such as this one, are always a balancing act. The goal was to bring the public and guest spaces of the hotel into the present while also providing windows into the hotel’s storied and glamorous past.”

With that in mind, IHG Hotels & Resorts teamed up with interior designers IA Interior Architects to draw on genuine local materials, Italian heritage, and Roman tradition. In fact, IA’s Managing Director – Veronica, had collaborated with the owners back in 2018 on its initial design as IHG Hotels & Resorts acquired the property, ready to usher it into a new era.
