Hotel du Louvre Paris reveals chic new look

The City of Light has yet another reason to tempt visitors over the Channel this summer, and this time, location is absolutely everything.

Set between the Louvre, the Palais Royal, the Comédie Française, and the Opéra Garnier, the Hôtel du Louvre is an absolute gem of a property, which prides itself on slow luxury, redolent of Paris in the past and has just reopened and joined Hyatt’s Unbound Collection following an extensive renovation.

The location is just a stone’s throw from some of the must-see monuments of the city – think the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and of course the Musee de Louvre but even without its enviable setting, this property oozes classic Parisian style in its 164 rooms and 58 suites, some of which look out dreamily across the city’s rooftops.

The cuisine at the property is as authentic as it comes, boasting the very first ‘Brasserie Bocuse’ in the city, where the unashamedly classically Parisian dishes of Paul Bocuse such as Bresse chicken with cream and mushroom and French onion soup are served to eager diners.

Post-prandial drinks are served at L’Officine du Louvre, where guests huddle over the unusual herbal house cocktails while the eight meeting rooms hosting functions for up to 150 will delight event planners in search of a new classic.
