Experience This: Radical pop at Le Bristol Paris
Ever fancied diving deep in to a storyboard of Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s adventures in a modern art museum? This somewhat niche dream has become the most radical pop-art reality at the super-chic Hotel Le Bristol Paris this spring, where guests can have the most surreal night’s sleep in the Paris Suite.
Designed by radical pop artist Bertrand Lavier and transformed into a ‘live-in’ exhibit, the suite takes its inspiration from the Disney story about the famous mice and their escapades in a contemporary art museum.
Inside the lavish suite, the living room has been designed as a ‘thought bubble’, with cartoon characters jumping off the page into vibrant sculptures.
Inside the suite, minimalist furniture collides with vivid purples, yellows and greens, while sculptures and canvases inspired by the Walt Disney comic strip provide an endless stream of colour pops.
This suite immerses its guests in a living piece of art, which provides quite the contrast to the Louis XVI elegance of the rest of this refined property. Inside the gardens, brilliant sculptures soar up against the delicately manicured greenery.
It’s zany, there’s plenty of je ne sais quoi and absolutely oodles of oh-la-la – in fact, it’s exactly as Mickey and Minnie would want.
Le Bristol Paris is part of the Oetker Collection, an inVOYAGE partner. Find out more about the collection of luxury properties at inVOYAGE 2019 on 6-9 October in Monaco.
