The Sultanate of Oman is magical in many ways. And Magic Travels DMC, an inVOYAGE 2019 partner and expert on Oman, as well as the UAE, Jordan, Georgia and Armenia, gives the inside guide on how to spend an unforgettable two days in this stunning destination…

Up on arrival at Oman airport, a 4X4 Jeep will be waiting for you to set out on an extraordinary adventure to discover the breathtaking valleys (Wadis) in untouched natural surroundings with a SELF DRIVE. Take a dip in the crystalline waters before heading towards the desert.

The warm dunes of the desert will welcome you, and a caravan of dromedaries will soon greet-, and transport you to your next stop.

Enjoy a chilled cocktail served by smiling and hospitable waiters, dressed in traditional costumes, as you wind down watching a golden sunset in the Wahiba desert.

As night falls, take some time to explore our exclusive and unique Magic Camp. Soak up the exotic decor, inspired by 1001 Nights, and go star gazing with an astronomer.

Enjoy an extraordinary night of high-quality comfort, around a blazing campfire in the middle of the Omani desert.

Next day, travel in the direction of Jabal Akhdar, the green mountain, and gaze over the mountain terraces that cover the flanks. Discover the Falaj, this ancient irrigation system classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Indulge in a delicious lunch, with a local Omani family, and learn about the ways, traditions and ancient culture of Oman.

After lunch, go for an exhilarating hike in the mountains and enjoy the magnificent landscapes. Visit a local rose-water distillery and make your own oil!

End the day at the poolside of the hotel. Enjoy the majestic sunset across the mountains, as seen from the Eco-boutique hotel, ALILA, a place that successfully combines elegance and simplicity.
