Rosewood adds iconic Le Guanahani resort to portfolio

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is set to make its debut on the dreamy Caribbean island of St. Barth next Spring.

The luxury brand has been appointed to manage Le Guanahani, the iconic St. Barth retreat that has been closed since it was damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.

Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth will reopen in Spring 2021 following a property-wide rebuild and refurbishment. The property’s new look will evoke the rich and authentic French Caribbean heritage of the island with its signature colourful style featuring vibrant design hues of turquoise inspired by the Caribbean water, yellow reflecting the tropical sun and lavender as a nod to the South of France.

The property will offer 66 rooms, suites and villas, many with new private pools, and a range of updated amenities including a distinct beachfront dining concept and new pool, a Rosewood Explorers children’s club, fitness centre, tennis court, Sense, A Rosewood Spa and dedicated event spaces.

Surrounded by two beautiful beaches, including a reef-protected lagoon, and just a short distance from the dynamic downtown, Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth will provide incentive groups the perfect base to discover all St. Barth has to offer through a myriad of water sports, hiking, and sea and town excursions.

Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth is the brand’s third property in the Caribbean, which currently includes Rosewood Baha Mar in The Bahamas, Rosewood Bermuda, and Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

Additional projects underway in the region include Rosewood Half Moon Bay in Antigua, set to open in 2023.
