Experience this: Group hire and celebration weeks on Necker

Necker Island, in the British Virgin Islands, has announced group booking options that could see Sir Richard Branson’s home and private hideaway become one of the hottest destinations for the ultimate in incentive travel.

For the first time, the island will become available for group bookings of between 8 to 15 guests. Commencing in June 2020, small groups will be able to book the island on a shared non-exclusive basis and explore the 74-acre estate and its coral reefs and white sand beaches.

Activities range from private tennis lessons with a resident professional coach through to top-class water sports in the surrounding turquoise waters, through to simply reclining on the beach and enjoying the exceptional views.

The intimate private island is mostly available for exclusive use bookings but during selected weeks of the year, known as Celebration Weeks, the island opens up ‘hotel-style’ to allow for guests to book individual rooms, without the pressure of having to book the entire island.

Dates are available in January, September and October and guests will be able to see the newly renovated Bali Hi complex, which now features private plunge pools.
