Puento Romano unveils 100 new ways to experience Andalusia

Luxury Marbella resort Puente Romano has launched collection of bespoke adventures, from behind-the-scenes sherry tastings to VIP ski trips.

With one hundred highly personalised experiences on offer, guests can choose from expert-led activities, ranging from high-octane sports to indulgent gastronomy and innovative local experiences.

Rolling out from January 2019, the experiences provide customised ‘insta-moments’ and offer a new view on Marbella and the Andalusia region year-round.

Throughout the winter season, snow bunnies can trade the promenade for the piste as they carve through the Sierra Nevada’s 100km of vertiginous ski runs, open from December to April.

Tennis lovers can hone their skills on the resort’s ten stunning courts, with one-to-one lessons by world-class coach David Sanchez, while football fans can take in the ultimate match day with Puente Romano, flying by private helicopter to Madrid to enjoy dinner with former Atletico Madrid players before settling into a VIP box for the best views of the evening’s match.

Culture aficionados can delve into a variety of experiences, from journeying up through the clouds to the historic town of Ronda to discovering the skill of fencing with Puente Romano’s resident instructor and Mask of Zorro swordswoman, Rosibel Vindel Barrera.

Budding chefs can learn the art of Andalusian cookery as Chef Sergio de la Plata shares his family recipes in a private gastronomic class – including authentic gazpacho, salmorejo, tortilla and paella, while art fans can uncover Malaga’s vibrant art scene with a private tour of the Carmen Thyssen museum, followed by an exclusive dinner.

Music enthusiasts, meanwhile, can experience first-hand the rush of a DJ booth at a packed club – learning the essentials of spinning the decks before performing a warm up act at La Suite, Puente Romano’s nightclub.
