This iconic London property is set to reopen its doors in December following a mega £100m renovation – the most extensive in its history. With a rich history in the heart of Knightsbridge and an illustrious past as an A-lister haunt, the property will reopen with fewer – 186 – but larger rooms.

Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle

Originally due to open earlier this year bur delayed by the pandemic, this stunning property will now open its doors in Spring 2021. Nestled within the very grounds of the internationally-renowned Château de Versailles, the hotel is housed inside three historic buildings, built in 1681 by Jules-Hardouin Mansart, Louis XIV’s favourite architect.

Securing a night in one of the 14 opulent rooms and suites is certain to bag bragging rights for the rest of the decade – at least. The signature Alain Ducasse restaurant features a terrace and bar for post-prandial drinks while the indulgent spa by Valmont and a 15-metre indoor swimming pool will ensure that guests feel utterly relaxed.
