6 of the best: luxury resorts for Caribbean incentives

There are few luxurious hotel brands more synonymous with the Caribbean than Sandals, which boasts 15 award-winning resorts on six stunning islands, with many more in the pipeline.

To celebrate the news that Sandals is taking part at inVOYAGE Mykonos this September for the first time, we showcase six of the brand’s luxury resorts that are ideal for inspiring Caribbean incentives…

Barbados

Barbados is home to exotic locales, a rich history, and an extensive variety of sports and activities. With a spectacular landscape that changes dramatically from one town to the next, this dreamy island offers activities for all types of incentive groups from nature lovers to adventurers alike.

Groups can experience the royal treatment at Sandals Royal Barbados – an all-suite, all-inclusive resort in the island’s spirited St. Lawrence Gap area.

The luxurious property features 272 suites, including Skypool Suites, Swim-up Suites, Millionaire Suites, and brand-new this summer, the Signature Tranquility Suite Collection, featuring custom in-room amenities such as aromatherapy systems, lightless curtains, and Tranquility Soaking Tubs. The resort also boasts international cuisine at seven restaurants and a spa.

Antigua

Antigua is famous for its 365 spectacular beaches balmy breezes, and coral reefs ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. It also remains a popular sailing destination, hosting one of the world's foremost regattas during the annual Sailing Week.

Sandals Grande Antigua is located on Antigua's best and most famous beach, Dickenson Bay. The resort offers 373 rooms scattered through 27 acres of tropical grounds, with two distinct areas – the Caribbean Beachfront Village, and the all-suite Mediterranean Oceanview Village. There are 11 restaurants, ideal for dine arounds, offering a range of tempting menus, from the fiery island dishes of Eleanor's and tasty stir-fries of Kimonos to authentic Italian cuisine at Mario's.

St Lucia

Saint Lucia’s landscape is as diverse as her heritage. From its volcanic mountains, white sand beaches and clear blue sea to lush rainforests, quaint fishing villages and the bustling charm of Marigot Bay, this stunning island is brimming with picture-postcard views at every turn.

One of three Sandals Resorts in the destination, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is cradled to the west by Rodney Bay – boasting the calmest waters in all of Saint Lucia – and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.

Set on its own peninsula, the resort boasts a sheltered mile-long stretch of pure white sand beach, ideal for relaxing or water sports. There are 301 rooms including Over-the-water Bungalows, Swim-Up Suites and Beachfront Rondoval Suites with plunge pool, whirlpool, hammock, dining area and outdoor grotto shower, and 12 restaurants.

The Bahamas

An island paradise with thousands of miles of crystal turquoise waters, secluded pink beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and swimming pigs, the Bahamas provides a dreamy backdrop for memorable incentives.

Located on Nassau, Sandals Royal Bahamian offers two colonnaded pools overlooking the emerald sea, dining at 11 speciality restaurants, an award-winning Red Lane Spa. The 408 rooms are divided into three categories: Luxury, Club, and Butler with exclusive VIP airport transfers in a Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Benz for butler guests.

The resort also boasts its own exclusive off-shore island with two secluded beaches – one for relaxing and exploring the Bahamas’ best snorkelling, the other for high-energy water sports.

Jamaica

Jamaica is home to a magnificent landscape of rolling mountains lined by endless white–sand–beaches, covered by lush foliage and crisscrossed by streaming rivers and cascading waterfalls, a rich culture and warm hospitality.

Sandals boasts six resorts in Jamaica with a further three currently under development. Ideal for groups looking for privacy and the ultimate luxury, Sandals Royal Plantation - an intimate all-butler resort of just 74 ocean view suites tucked into a magnificent coral bluff with roaming peacocks and manicured lawns.

Guests can explore the resort’s two private beaches, tee off at nearby Sandals Golf & Country Club, followed by a spot of afternoon tea on the terrace, dine at five restaurants and spend an evening at Jamaica’s only champagne and caviar bar.

Curaçao

Sandals recently announced its expansion to the beautiful Dutch-inspired island of Curaçao, famed for its vibrant culture, pristine beaches, impressive dive sites and exotic marine ecosystems.

Formerly the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, the new Sandals Resort is being completely reimagined to offer 351 luxurious rooms and suites, with a further expansion planned.

With bookings open for April 2022, the resort will include two new signature suite categories, 38,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor meeting space, the largest on the island, nine on-site restaurant options and Sandals first ever floating restaurant and bar.
