In the current climate, al fresco dining, drinking and event spaces are more popular than ever, and nothing beats a sundowner or cocktail reception with a view.

The Dorchester Rooftop, London

The Dorchester Hotel has opened its first rooftop bar and restaurant in its 90-year history. Commanding stunning views over Hyde Park and the London skyline, the rooftop is open daily for lunch and dinner, with a lounge area to relax with a cocktail, glass of Champagne or a cigar.

The Dorchester Rooftop will be host to a series of al fresco culinary pop-ups led by executive chef Mario Perera, featuring a British summertime menu by Tom Booton, followed by modern and informal French dining by Jean-Philippe Blondet. Further pop-ups including live music, will be announced.

Picos Pardos Skylounge, Bless Madrid

Located in a 19th-century building that houses the chic boutique Bless Madrid hotel, the Picos Pardos Skylounge offers a relaxing haven from the bustling streets below. Eight floors up, this rooftop terrace boasts spectacular and panoramic views over the Spanish capital’s skyline.

It’s inviting emerald pool is surrounded by Balinese beds, velvety sofas and lush vegetation. Guests can enjoy the excellent wine menu or sip on delicious cocktails, alongside Nikkei cuisine and raw recipes that transform into a selection of ceviche, carpaccio or tartare dishes.

 

W Lounge, W Amsterdam

W Lounge at W Amsterdam is a luxurious and trendy rooftop bar located in central Amsterdam and the perfect spot for anyone who is curious about everything that is 'new and next' in the world of mixology. Set on the 6th floor of the Exchange building, this vibrant space offers 360-degree views of Amsterdam's city centre and the nearby Royal Palace.

The large and stylish indoor glass lounge with its chic and swanky decor is complemented with cool terrace balconies wrapped around the building, complete with comfortable seating and a stunning rooftop pool.

Rooftop Terrace, Hotel de Rome, Berlin

Head to the glamorous Rooftop Terrace at Hotel de Rome, A Rocco Forte Hotel, to watch as the Berlin city lights blink on and the sky fades from blue to pink. Sip Champagne or enjoy a signature De Rome cocktail inspired by the view. The “Touch the Sky” is a light yet fragrant blend of Belsazar Rosé Vermouth, fresh strawberries and yet more Champagne.

Under the guidance of Heinz Beck La Pergola has become a temple of international gastronomy, historically the first and, still today, the only three-star Michelin in the Italian capital.

On summer evenings, dining is offered on the beautiful candlelit terrace.
