The refurbished Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern, set on the banks of Lake Luzern with breathtaking views and a plethora of in-house gastronomic options is set to open its doors in September 2022
With 136 elegant, spacious, and chic guestrooms, including 48 of the city’s largest suites, the supremely appointed Mandarin Oriental Palace is set to open in the iconic and quaint lake city Luzern in Switzerland.
Luzern itself, where the palace-style hotel is set, on the periphery of the Swiss Alps, is the destination where inVOYAGE launched its 2022 event programme welcoming the community to enjoy three action-packed days of top-tier networking and incentive experiences. .
Adding to the picturesque city’s iconic skyline, the Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern’s inspiration comes from local architects Iwan Bühler Architekten who created an elaborate renovation of the historic attraction. The result is a contemporary design, inspired by the legendary beauty of the Swiss surroundings, while preserving the rich history and heritage of this landmark Belle Époque building.
The Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is decorated by London-based interior designers, Jestico + Whiles who have drawn inspiration from the landscape and combined them with the colour palette of the Mediterranean. The result is a unique fusion of the hotel’s original grandeur, contemporary elegance, and the quality and attention to detail for which Switzerland is renowned.
The pièce de résistance includes two Panoramic Rooftop Terrace Suites with breathtakingly magnificent 360-degree lake and Swiss mountain views.
There’s also a luxurious Presidential Suite, which offers 133 sqm of captivating lifestyle experiences. Most guestrooms have private balconies and lounging terraces that are equipped with amenities by Diptyque and Dyson hair products. Serving up decadent epicurean delights, the property will also boast four delectable restaurants and bars under the patronage of Michelin star experience of Executive Chef Gilad Peled. The bespoke dining options are sure to impress with their variety and quality. The Mozern Bar & Brasserie is an ideal all-day-dining meeting point for locals and international visitors, offering Asian cuisine, all-time classics, afternoon tea and exciting cocktails.
Quai 10 awaits visitors with al fresco dining overlooking Lake Lucerne coupled with outstanding Mediterranean cuisine. Inspired by the beauty of the natural surroundings and focusing on local seasonal highlights, Colonnade offers modern French Haute cuisine. Finally, Mizūmi will feature exclusive and refined Japanese craftsmanship, set in an intimate six-seat dining environment. Both Colonnade and Mizūmi will open in the first quarter of 2023.
Visitors are also invited to rejuvenate their body, mind, and soul at the SPA Bellefontaine with unrivalled face and body treatments provided by this renowned beauty brand. An expansive wellness area offers sauna, steam bath, experiential showers, and a relaxation room. In addition, a state-of-the-art Fitness Salon with high-end equipment by Life Fitness is available 24 hours for hotel guests.

Each of the four newly renovated venues is flooded with natural light and provide the latest technology, in order to capture the right sound, image, and mood. Of note are the Salon Alpine and the Edelweiss Ballroom.
The establishment's charming ballroom offers unparalleled views over the lake and into the garden. The hall has a ceremonial and distinguished aura that discreetly enhances the special events held here and puts the ballroom’s distinctive features in the spotlight, with space for up to 230 people and a terrace in front for private receptions.
The tasteful Salon Alpine is also remarkable – a hidden historical gem with original Belle Époque décor from 1906. Opulent chandeliers hang above a long table of dark wood. Golden ornaments on a red background adorn the wall coverings and large arches above the doors tell of the hotel's heritage.
