Three of the best: luxury hotels in the Algarve

The Algarve is blessed with glorious sandy beaches, luxurious hotels, picturesque fishing towns, championship golf courses, and a glorious climate, all of which combine to create a stunning backdrop for luxury business events and incentives.

If you’re considering Portugal for your next event, we shine the spotlight on three luxury Algarve properties in our inVOYAGE community that are well worth checking out…

Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort

The lowdown: This luxury retreat boasts a prime location next to the prestigious Victoria Golf Course and close to Vilamoura’s beautiful beaches and glamorous marina and nightlife. It offers 280 rooms and suites with views over the gardens, pools, or lush golf greens.

Event spaces: The resort features one of Vilamoura’s largest stand-alone conference and event centres with a raft of meeting and event spaces for all types of events.

A separate entrance and light-filled foyer provides convenience and privacy, while summer venues and the golf clubhouse opposite extend the possibilities.

Foodie focus: With plenty of options to choose from, groups can dine in a different restaurant or setting at every meal. Enjoy the freshest seafood lunch at the pool-side Ria restaurant, or Portuguese dishes paired with fine wine from the extensive cellars at Emo restaurant.

Indulge in a bespoke private dinner in a choice of spectacular settings, enriched by a personal butler and chef, with the resort’s Dining by Design service. There’s also a Dine Around Experience available, which takes guests on culinary restaurant through eight restaurants.

Downtime: With five pools to choose from, and the Purobeach Vilamoura beach club, there is plenty of space to relax and soak up the Algarve sun once meetings are done. Head to the award-winning spa and unwind with a choice of ancient Mediterranean therapies, exclusive rituals and energising Asian treatments.

As well as the lush expanse of Victoria Golf Course, where the Portugal Masters is held every year, there are a range of courses to play nearby, with Anantara's own Golf Guru on hand to offer professional suggestions and advice.
Foodie fans can take part in the Spice Spoons cooking class, which includes a trip to the famous Loulé food market with your master chef instructor before learning the traditional techniques of Portuguese cuisine in an open theatre kitchen, or book a private wine tasting at the Emo Wine Boutique.
