Three luxury wellness retreats in Switzerland

Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa

Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa

Wellness is a huge trend in luxury events and incentive travel, with clients increasingly looking to incorporate experiences focused on getting people together to de-stress, switch off from their constantly connected fast-paced lives and reconnect with nature and each other.

Thanks to its fresh Alpine air, natural thermal springs, magnificent mountain scenery and luxurious spa resorts, Switzerland has long been a leading destination for wellness. And at this year’s inVOYAGE, we’re lucky to have a strong Swiss contingent, including these three high-end spa hotels, ideal for groups that want to put health and wellbeing at the heart of their event…

Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa
Set on a clifftop location at Burgenberg, 500 metres above the striking Lake Lucerne, Bürgenstock Alpine Spa is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous location for spa enthusiasts and corporate groups seeking the ultimate escape.

This resort delivers spa bliss at its very best – from steam baths to panorama and aroma saunas, Kneipp baths, experience showers and an array of shower and Jacuzzi baths to restore and revitalise. Take a dip in the 35°C infinity-edge pool, where the waters appear to meet the sky, or enjoy a yoga masterclass in the serene gardens.

Grand Resort Bad Ragaz
Nestled amidst the foothills of the Alps in Eastern Switzerland, just an hour’s drive from Zurich, the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is centred around a bathing and spa tradition spanning hundreds of years. The 36.5°C thermal water offers guests unique ways to find relaxation, health, and healing.

Check out the comprehensive spa, encompassing 6,050 square metres, with its historic Helena pool, sports pool, garden pool and an exclusive sauna area. Guests can also enjoy unlimited access to the 7,300-square-metre public Tamina Therme. Spa facilities are complemented by the medical expertise of the renowned Medical Health Center and the Bad Ragaz Clinic.

Le Grand Bellevue
Perched amid beautifully manicured parkland beside the Promenade, Le Grand Bellevue has been a Gstaad landmark for 100 years. The hotel’s jewel in the crown, however, is Le Grand Spa: 3,000 sqm of state-of-the-art Apine wellness facilities, with seven different saunas and hammams, a yoga and Pilates studio, and a beautiful indoor pool and Jacuzzi that provide the perfect place to relax before or after one of the spa’s rejuvenating treatments or stress-melting massages.

Inspired by their energising Alpine surroundings, the spa’s team of expert therapists offer an array of de-stressing treatments and massages, incorporating natural products from innovative skincare brand Cellcosmet Switzerland and English organic bath and body specialists Bamford.
