Checking In… Il Salviatino Italy

Ah the beauty of Florence with its terraced gardens, gorgeous hillside properties and Old world charms. Travellers looking for this spirit will find little to fault with the beautiful Il Salviatino hotel – a romantic 15th century palazzo set in the hills of the Fiesole looking out across Florence.

Beyond the beautiful façade, the property is just as impressive with 19th century marble fireplaces, a wood-panelled library filled with antique leather-bound books and stunning Renaissance frescoes.

The 44 individually appointed rooms and suites are decadently modern too with flatscreen televisions, stylish furnishings and Averti Addosso bathroom products.

At dinner time, expect to taste the delights of Tuscan cuisine at the welcoming La Cucina del Salviatino, where the menu has been created to make the most of the produce from property’s organic vegetable garden, once the garden’s orchard, which now produces vegetables, fruits and herbs to go straight to the kitchen.

The hillside Spa features four treatment rooms, each with their own steam shower, while the team of therapists specialize in aroma therapeutic relaxation – just the tonic in these calming surrounds.

For incentive groups, a hands-on truffle hunting and cooking experience in Il Salviatino’s enchanted backyard forest can be arranged by the property. Other options include Italian wine tastings, hot air balloon rides, horse riding and Vespa tours through the city of Florence.
