You only need look at the Bürgenstock Resort’s illustrious guest list over the past almost 150 years, to realise that this luxury Swiss property is up there with the best of the best.

Royals, heads of state, presidents and celebrities, from Queen Ingrid of Denmark, Indira Gandhi and Jimmy Carter, to Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Sean Connery, are among the prominent personalities in politics, business and entertainment to have stayed there.

Opened in 1873, The Bürgenstock Resort has been a hotspot for exclusive events ever since – Hepburn married Mel Ferrer at the property in 1954 – so we’re thrilled to be hosting our first Spring edition of inVOYAGE there in March 2021.

Breath-taking backdrop

As far as locations are concerned – 500 metres above Lake Lucerne with unparalleled views over the Alps and Lake Lucerne – Bürgenstock Resort boasts a truly stunning backdrop to host events of all kinds, from leadership meetings and product launches, to incentives and celebrations.

The Bürgenberg with its breath-taking lake and Alpine panoramas is located in the heart of Switzerland on a peninsula in Lake Lucerne. The mountain, also known as the Bürgenstock, gets its name from the precipitous northern scarp that rises 500 m from the blue waters.

Against this unique backdrop, four hotels, eight restaurants, numerous bars and lounges and diverse conference options await groups at the Bürgenstock Resort.

The Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa, with outstanding architecture and contemporary interior design, features 102 rooms and suites. Thanks to its exclusive location on the mountain ridge, all the rooms offer far-reaching views over Lake Lucerne. The hotel is directly connected to the Alpine Spa via the Sky Bridge on the fourth floor. Here in the heart of the resort, meeting participants arrive on the legendary Bürgenstock Funicular, which takes them directly to the hotel.

Built in 1903, the historically significant Palace Hotel was renovated in line with the precepts of preserving its heritage and character. The 108 rooms and suites are presented today in contemporary design. Meanwhile, the Waldhaus stands out for its striking façade. Gabions and wooden pergolas frame this building designed by Matteo Thun, which offers 137 rooms and private terraces.
