TempoVip Expands its Horizons with a New Chapter in Morocco

As TempoVip draws back the curtain on their latest debut in Morocco, we catch up with the mastermind behind it all,

inVOYAGE: Thank you for sitting down with us today and it’s lovely to catch up since our last event in Madrid!  Now I know you’ve attended many of our events in the past but for those who may not have met you yet, could you tell us a little about TempoVip, how it started and its journey so far?

Danilo: TempoVip DMC is a luxury travel company for only the most discerning of travellers. Our tailor-made, sophisticated experiences are uniquely crafted. We started in 2004 in Portugal and quickly became a segment leader, and expanded to Spain in 2024. Our goal is to transform the true essence of culture, life, and soul of these countries into something our clients can live, taste, or just feel. Our aim is to provide an experience so above expectations that the client doesn’t even know that she or he wanted it!

 

inVOYAGE: And now you’re launching in Morocco! What inspired you to branch outside of Europe and make your debut in Morocco? And what exciting opportunities does Morocco present as an incentive destination?

Danilo: Portugal and Spain's links with Morocco are very natural and are literally based on more than 1,300 years of history. There's a great proximity between them, brought together by the best Mediterranean and Atlantic spirit. Diplomatic relations are excellent and Morocco is a very safe and peaceful country. It was inevitable that TempoVip would arrive in this fascinating North African country sooner rather than later. Marrakesh is only a 90 minute flight from Lisbon or a couple of hours from Madrid. Morocco is a permanent adventure, where contemporay sophistication and cultural genuineness are perfectly aligned. 

 

inVOYAGE: What about Morocco’s cultural and geographical diversity. What opportunities do you think this offers you as a DMC as well as the MICE industry as a whole?

Danilo: Considering the proximity I mentioned, Morocco is highly seductive: it's "the nearest faraway place". The magnificent beaches, the desert, the Atlas Mountains, the labyrinths of Fez, Tangier and Marrakech – everything vibrates in stunning landscapes and ancient daily life, like a time-travelling machine. The element of surprise is constant, but you need an expert to guide you through it all, and that's where TempoVip comes in. The industry and clients demand a high degree of destination knowledge and for us this is an advantage, not a handicap.

 

inVOYAGE: And what can our event professionals look forward to with your latest expansion into Morocco? Can you share some specific services or experiences that you’ll be showcasing here in Morocco?

Danilo: We offer dozens of concepts that are the result of a long and in-depth exploration of Morocco, all organised with the best local operators. I'd definitely like to highlight our fantastic experiences in the desert, which in great part have to do with our closeness to the Bedouin people. Jeep safaris around Merzouga, themed dinners in the middle of the desert, tea rituals, discovering the Skoura oasis by bike, surfing in the dunes, camel rides... Our offer is immense. The desert is much, much more than you might think.

 

inVOYAGE: As a DMC so much of what you do is about local knowledge, authenticity and connecting with the heart and soul of a destination. Are there any community engagement initiatives you have in the making?

Danilo: Absolutely! The connection to the locals is fundamental and social sustainability is very important to us and to those who visit the country. In Morocco we were lucky enough to meet partners with enormous generosity, whom we return with great care in supporting their communities and preserving their material and immaterial culture. In fact, what you can bring back from here is much more than just a souvenir: it's a spiritual, enriching memento. It should be noted that we have an in-depth concept of Meet the Owner activities: these are not mere "visits", they are the establishment of lasting connections. All of this is lived out in experiences for both families and MICE groups.

 

inVOYAGE: And finally, what would you say to event professionals considering Morocco for their next event?

Danilo: Let yourself be suprised by Morocco and TempoVip's knowledge of it. Creativity and detail are at the core of our work. An event's successful implementation depends on understanding the true spirit of a group. We are best at reading mindsets and shared objectives, transforming it into memorable moments that work because we know how to match it with the complex and absorbing culture of Morocco.
